Change Through Exchange

In 2017 we worked with Joseph Ranseth and the TEDxExchangeDistrict team to get people talking about things that matter, show off some of the great things happening in our communities. What resulted is one of the most inspiring groups of community leaders coming together with a common purpose.

The concept of “change through exchange” is not a new one, in fact it’s centuries old. Putting a modern-day twist on it by identifying the issues most relevant to our city, our speakers were hand-selected from two categories of people:

1. Who are the world-class thinker and doers in our city that have something the world needs to hear about?

2. Who are the best-in-class from around the world that have proven ideas and knowledge that will benefit our community that we can bring in to share with us?

About TEDx

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)

Lori is an inspiration, that has sustained me often. I appreciate her attention to detail, and how she employs her strengths in service to a grand vision.

Lori is a valuable member of the Clandeboye and District Recreation Association. She has been an important program builder and is a great head coach, for the kids registered in our Sunday Learn 2 Ice Skate class.
